Jerry Lingerfelt - Environmental, Health and Safety Representative
B.A. Business Administration
Jerry brings with him over twenty years of expertise in waste management, permitting, lab analyticals, reporting requirements, lab management and RCRA issues. In the mid and late seventies he worked offshore and then in retail management for five years. Jerry's experience in the environmental field began when he joined BFI as the Manager of Waste Approval Services for eleven years. He moved on to Waste Management and worked as their Regional Solid Waste Representative. Jerry went on to work with US Filter, later Siemens, where he held the positions of Compliance Manager, Lab Manager, and Plant Manager.
Jerry's strong background in the environmental/waste management industry includes years of experience permitting a water plant, setting up sampling schedules, training lab techs, setting up conversion spreadsheets for reporting requirements, preparing DMR reports, and handling/submitting TCEQ audits on NPDES discharge for the plant.
Michael Martin - National Accounts Manager
Michael S. Martin brings over twenty-five years experience to his role as National Accounts Manager for VRM. He has worked hands-on and managed client focused programs in environmental construction and remediation project management, geotechnical engineering field services, and asbestos assessment and abatement programs. He is experienced in managing residuals and wastes from a wide variety of projects. His familiarity includes all phases of project and construction management, including strategic planning, marketing, sales, proposal writing, budgeting, scheduling, personnel supervision, contract and subcontract management, cost controls, purchasing, HS&E, and continuous systems improvement. He has been responsible for conceptual design, instituting and managing regulatory compliance, drug testing protocols and health safety programs.
As a former Vice President of Operations for two separate organizations his responsibilities included supervising and coordinating the opening of a St. Louis office for a Detroit based company, and managing four locations (Houston, Beaumont, Detroit and St. Louis) for a nationwide waste management firm. He was responsible for developing leads, the completion of estimates, asbestos inspections, assessments, demolition, asbestos abatement design, air monitoring, safety, waste disposal, and regulatory compliance, all performed in a safe manner in compliance with the customer's needs.
Michael has managed a variety of programs for Shell Oil Company, Amoco Oil, El Paso Natural Gas, Meridian Oil, Valero Refining, Marathon Oil, Chevron, and Horizon Offshore including assessments, project design, tank cleaning, demolition, asbestos abatement both on and offshore, and residual management associated with various types of remediation projects. His wide experience makes him an excellent resource for our clients to discuss their project needs with and determine the best course of action prior to and during project performance.
Kory Clement Wynegar - Residual Management Supervisor
M.A. Cross-Cultural Studies, B.A. Pre-Law
Kory brings a strong background in compliance management and data management from various institutional settings with an emphasis on program and staff management. Her proven customer focus and technical organization skills provide strong leadership in helping others define and execute complicated compliance and operational activities. Her background in team training and development and systems management provides a track record that insures detailed management of all activities.
Kory as an environmental specialist provides expertise in on-site residual management, residual analysis, DOT requirements, Treatment Storage and Disposal Facility (TSDF) selection, waste minimization, compliance reporting and data management.

Sandra A. Mejia - Environmental Records Clerk
Sandra, a business student at University of Houston, has over 5 years experience with records retention and has exceptional organizational and filing skills. Along with her experience in records and filing, Sandra was chosen among a select few students in Houston as an Office Education student at Shell Deer Park Refinery. At Shell she gained valuable knowledge of safety regulations and practices within the residual management industry. Her background in business and her ability to understand regulations in the residual management field make her a valuable asset to the VRM team.
